One of the main attractions of Lillafüred is Lake Hámori next to the palace hotel, which created by artificial damming of Garadna stream. The completion of the dam is dated from 1815. The length of the lake is 1.5 km and the average depth is 9 m. The lake offers a special experience in all seasons, because in winter you can do ice fishing, skating, or play ice hockey, while from spring to autumn you can go boating on the lake.
